EFT Circles

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or tapping is a simple self-help tool that involves tapping on acupressure points around the body.

The therapeutic effect of the tapping gives relief to stress, anxiety, overwhelm, fears, phobias and can also help with pain management, weight loss and all sorts of emotional issues. While tapping on various points around the body, we give voice and bring clarity to uncomfortable thoughts and feelings that may be holding us back, thus shedding light on ingrained patterns of thinking and behaviour. Once these patterns, fears and negative beliefs are brought into the light, they can be seen and heard and finally integrated, allowing for new patterns of behaviour. EFT is an evidence-based practice widely used for anxiety, depression and PTSD. Published research has shown that EFT is as effective as EMDR and CBT as a treatment for PTSD.

Tapping is a great tool to use to help regulate emotions, and by joining a tapping circle, you can regularly meet like-minded people who can support your progress. Sometimes you may feel stuck in a certain problem but can learn how to become unstuck through someone else’s experience. There is also a fabulous phenomenon in EFT of “borrowed benefits”, whereby all participants in a group tapping session experience relief and wellbeing, even if the issue being worked on is not their own.
